Our client at Kerry Hill wanted to integrate the values of their winery into the design of their labels. Each label is hand illustrated with a plant or animal native to Idaho’s Snake River Valley. Illustrations were painted by hand, scanned, and incorporated into the finished design.

The following images show a bit of the process behind creating a label for Kerry Hill. Before any painting is done, we collect reference images of the animal and plan out how it will interact with the label design. Then the painting begins — with each animal carefully illustrated in watercolor until it’s ready to scan and become part of the label design.
